FC female condom was introduced in France in 1997 as part of a pilot study and the number of FCs distributed has steadily increased since that time. The Government is committed to supplying Family Planning Associations with a free and consistent supply of FCs. In addition, a local social marketing organisation, Terpan, has generated a demand in the commercial sector. Last year, SIDA Info Service ran a very successful 1 FC, 1 Euro campaign which was a collaboration between the private and public sector. There are plans to run a similar campaign later this year. |
