FEMALE CONDOMS DISTRIBUTED TO HELP PROMOTE NATIONAL CONDOM WEEK
Chicago, February 9, 1999- In anticipation of
Valentine's Day, The Female Health Company (OTCBB: FCHO) has donated Female Condoms
to colleges and universities across the country to help promote safer sex during National
Condom Week. RealityÒ, The Female Condom, will be distributed at the following
universities to help with the promotion of safer sex on campus:
University of Central Florida, Tulane University, University of Texas at Austin, Emory
University, Louisiana State University, Michigan State University, University of Illinois
at Chicago, Illinois State University, The George Washington University, Syracuse
University, James Mason University, Mount Holyoke College, Eastern Illinois University,
Cornell University, University of Oregon, Georgetown University, Georgia State University,
Western Michigan University and many not-for profit agencies.
Female Condom samples have also been sent to area radio stations to be
distributed to their listeners.
The Female Health Company has plans to continue its promotion of RealityÒ, to college
students by participating in a number of promotions with a major male condom manufacturer
for Spring Break 1999.
During National Condom Week, major drug chains such as American Drug (Osco/Sav-on), and
Eckerd Drug will be promoting the RealityÒ, female condom Bonus Pak (containing 6 condoms
for the price of 3) discounted $2.00 to $3.00 a box depending on the chain. A total
of 3,600 stores will participate.
