An Important Announcement from:
_______________________________________________
On August 31st, The Female Health Company received confirmation that the Female Condom will be the subject of a meeting at the 11th International Conference on AIDS and STDs in Africa (XI-ICASA-99)!
The following is the exact text from GENDER-AIDS, an independent forum provided by the Foundation du Present: "...I am happy to report that we are now able to confirm that there will be a female condom meeting on Monday, 13 September from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Hotel Intercontinental in Lusaka. The meeting will provide an update on the latest information on female condom programming, including the introduction of the female condom programming guide which I mentioned in my previous posting. We hope that we will be able to discuss the programming guide and its implementation in various countries and settings. We also plan to discuss recent research issues including cost-effectiveness and re-use. We are also working with SWAA and UNAIDS on organizing additional opportunities for discussion on related subjects, and we will let GENDER-AIDS members know. The meeting will be open to anyone interested, and we look forward to an open, participatory discussion. And we will certainly document these discussions for subsequent posting on GENDER-AIDS. We also hope to have a similar meeting at the Kuala Lumpur conference in October...."
We are very pleased to have brought this message to you and hope that, if you are attending the conference, you will attend this meeting. |
